In this reflective storytelling workshop, students write a personal “hero’s tale” about themselves—who they are, what they’ve overcome, and who they want to become. Since their real story is still being lived, they create a meaningful “future ending,” helping them imagine the life they dream of.
This workshop teaches students how to express themselves through narrative while practicing the same self-reflection used in college application essays, personal statements, and interviews. It helps them understand their identity, strengths, goals, and voice as a writer.
Final Showcase:
Students will participate in a story reading, sharing their written hero’s journey with the group.
